Dr. Matthew Housson and Home Organizer Cheyne have teamed up to develop The Home Works, a comprehensive organization and home management business that is designed to help you organize your home and bring greater balance to your family. We find that an organized space is relaxing and reduces stress in marital and family relationships. With these daily hassles and arguments about disorganization removed, we expect families to function better and experience greater harmony. We provide a free 30 minute consult to discuss your goals and design a plan that will work for you.
Dr. Matthew Housson is a licensed psychologist who received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas in 1996. He worked for 7 years at the University of Texas at Dallas, Callier Center, Department of Psychology, where he completed developmental assessments of preschoolers and Psychoeducational Evaluations of school-aged children. He has more than 20 years experience diagnosing autism, attention disorders, learning disabilities, and emotional/behavioral disorders. In addition to evaluation, Dr. Housson works with families to identify appropriate educational environments for their children and also provides individual and family therapy to address behavioral and emotional concerns.
Cheyne has a passion for working with families to organize their homes and lives. Cheyne is a Dallas native and an alumna of Highland Park and SMU. She taught Special Education at Highland Park High School, and specializes in working with families of students with learning differences.
She believes organization is the key to success for students and families, and enjoys working with her clients to create solutions through functional and organized spaces. Cheyne is easy to work with and is able to tailor each solution for the specific needs of her clients.
Cheyne and her husband have two daughters and reside in University Park. Cheyne enjoys traveling, reading, sports, and... organizing!
